Visual Arts

Our Visual Arts program is run by a full time specialist teacher who provides a Visual Arts program which supports the classroom program at each level and whole school events such as the Musical and Kew Festival. Children develop knowledge and skills in a broad range of art forms using a wide range of media in the areas of painting, drawing, clay modelling, printmaking, threads and textiles, construction and collage, with a balance between two and three dimensional activities.

Students’ work is displayed throughout the school so that they can appreciate their own work and the work of others.

At the end of each year, the Year Six students work collaboratively on an art project as a memento of their years at K.E.P.S. Up until this year, they have made quilts, designed mosaics for the front garden and created stepping stones as part of their lasting contribution to the school.
